The helpline is often the first point of contact for survivors. Every caller is treated as an individual with respect and dignity and given the time and understanding they need to get the help and support they deserve. KASA offers a free, confidential listening and support service for any adult or adolescent (14+) that has experienced sexual abuse or any kind of sexual violence at any time in their lives.
Many clients are referred to us by their GPs, social workers or other professionals, most survivors however contact us themselves.
The helpline provides you with the option to continue receiving telephone support or
to make an appointment and receive one-to-one counselling in our centre at Granges Road, in Kilkenny City or at one of our Outreach centres in Castlecomer and Callan.
You can contact our Counsellors on our Helpline 1800 478 478.
All calls are confidential. Callers have the choice of whether or not to share their real name or phone number with the helpline support staff.
For support outside of office hours, contact The Rape Crisis 24 Hour National Helpline
on 1800 778 888. The National Helpline is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
